The e-PAN card was introduced recently, which enables taxpayers to easily carry out various financial transactions and also helps the Income Tax Department track transactions and ensure taxes are paid correctly and timely. It is a virtual alternative to a physical PAN card. The government has introduced this service to ease the process for the people applying for the same.
