Applying Trademark Online

Trademark registration provides the greater protection which can be easily assessable now through e-filing (Online Trademark Registration India). E-filing of trademark ensure the error-free filing.

Earlier, in the absence of an online application, in order to apply for a trademark, the application had to be filed in one of trademark offices depending on the place of residence or place of business, manually or by post; however, now you can do so online.

The Trademark Registry has five offices which are located in Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai and Ahmadabad. These offices weren’t easily accessible. This defeated the purpose of the Trademark Act to grant the protection to the business as Trademark was not registered. Therefore, in order to overcome this problem, an e-filling system of the Trademarks was introduced. The registration can be done by the following:

  • Proprietor/ Applicant
  • Agent
