What are The Documents Required for MSME Registration?

The person needs to submit address proof, sale/purchase bill copies, partnership deed or MOA and AOA and copies of licenses/bills of machinery to initiate MSME Registration. The documents can be submitted in the form of scanned copies only through e-filling.

For Rented Property - Rent Agreement, NOC (No Objection Certificate) and a utility bill are required from the owner of the property.

For Owned Property - Allotment letter, lease deed, possession letter or property tax receipt is required.  If the applicant owns a municipal license on his name or in the name of the business, then no other supporting document needs to be submitted.

Note: Utility Bills include water or electricity bills not older than 2 months. 

Registration Proof (Business)

For Partnership Firm – A partnership deed needs to be submitted along with a registration certificate (if registered).

For Company – Copies of Memorandum of Association and Articles of Association, Certificate of Incorporation, Resolution passed in General Meeting.

Note: A copy of board resolution which authorises the Director to sign the application might also be required.

Sale and Purchase Bills

The company or proprietor needs to submit copies of the sale bills of all the finished goods and the bills of raw materials purchased.

Note: If the business is not yet started, the applicant can include what it will be doing in the future.

Licenses

If you have purchased or installed any plant/machinery, you might need to submit their copies. Also, at times, the company’s industrial license is required (if applicable).

Note: Consent Letter from the Pollution Control Department of the respective state is to be submitted if the company falls under the manufacturing sector.

Once the application is submitted successfully, the applicant will receive an acknowledgement receipt with all the payment details.  

Important 

Aadhar Card of the applicant is mandatory for MSME Registration. In case the applicant does not have an Aadhar Card, the following documents are to be submitted. 

  • Aadhar Enrolment ID slip (if enrolled)
  • Copy of request made for getting an Aadhar Card.
  • Bank Passbook or Voter ID Card or Passport or Driving License, or PAN Card.

The application is filed by the MSME – Development Institute on behalf of enterprises who do not have an Aadhar Card.
