What is the process of Company Name Change?

To change a company name, you need to file RUN (Reserve Unique Name) to reserve the new name. Once MCA approves the name, the company needs to file MGT-14 to alter its MOA and AOA.

After the alteration, you need to get approval from the Central Government (for the name change). After verifying all the details MCA will issue new incorporation certificate.

The company also requires passing a special resolution in its Board Meeting to approve from all the members and shareholders.
