A system for covering various types of ground where water and wind erosion protection are needed comprises a composite of at least one geotextile tufted or knitted with synthetic yarns (forming a synthetic turf), an open grid mesh, and a geo-filter (filter fabric). The filter fabric is positioned in direct contact with the ground surface, the open grid mesh is positioned over the filter fabric, and the synthetic turf is positioned over the open grid mesh. The system provides a beneficial erosion protection that does not require maintenance and can be used to cover slopes without requiring vegetative support and/or a topsoil layer. An optional sand layer can be placed atop the synthetic turf as desired as infill to ballast the material and protect the system against wind uplift.

Detailed description:
As you know there is huge loss due to cancellation of the International cricket matches due to heavy rain and it also require lot of investment for the maintenance of lawns during off plays(when there is no match playing). So to avoid this huge loss and to protect the cricket ground from heavy rain and pond forming of rainy water the multipurpose field covering system is to be developed and design and this system is also useful for agriculture farms.
It consists of a circular metallic track provided for guiding the way for pulling machine. Pulling machine will pull the covering cloth, this covering cloth will be water resistive and it will light in weight and easy to handle. Once the covering cloth is pulled over whole ground which will be touching the lawns, this covering cloth is pulled up at specific height with the help of pulley and rope system. This pulley and rope system is provided on opposite sides of the ground. Ropes coming out from pulley and rope system are connected to the circular flexible ring provided at the center which will be very small in diameter only to pull the covering cloth upward.
Methodology
1) As it rains during the match the system will start. This system will start the engine and mechanisms from both sides will start moving in opposite direction from one point.
2) This will pull ahead the loops attached to the mechanism and this will simultaneously pull the cloth attached to loops and the ground will get covered.
3) These two mechanisms will reach the point 2 and stop on the opposite sides and the covering cloth will spread over the lawns on whole ground it will be lying on the lawns.
4) A flexible ring of diameter will get unfold when the cloth is being covered on the ground.
5) On this ring the ropes are attached till the boundary line which is attached to a pulley of pulley and rope system.
6) Now we will operate this pulley by using roller and pull these ropes outward towards pulley. This will move the inner ring upward and slope/inclination will be produced from inner ring to outer ring.
7) This will stretch the covering cloth on whole ground and the dome shape of cover is form.
8) It will protect the cricket lawns during heavy rain and as the rain stops the system will uncover the cloth automatically.
Implication:-
Social Impact:
• The system is very important to the cricket stadium and organizations.
• It is also beneficial to farmers to protect farms against heavy rains.
• This system is very easy to develop and the cost required for the system is very less.
• So the huge loss due to cancellation of matches is reduced to large extent.
• Also the system has very less maintenance cost.
Additional advantages and modification will readily occur to those skilled in art. Therefore, the invention in its broader aspect is not limited to specific details and representative embodiments shown and described herein. Accordingly various modifications may be made without departing from the spirit or scope of the general invention concept as defined by the appended claims and their equivalents.
